I also try to pay my humble tumblr homage to the great band, The National, by co-running Fuck Yeah! The National

Most of the times, I tend to express myself better in my mother language: Conversas ao espelho

Transmitter (2012)by Jakub Nepras
We radiate like an enormous transmitter, an isolated island in a space we do not yet understand. We do not know whether what surrounds us merely represents a limited view of emptiness, infinity, yet at the same time for many it harbours a fear of certain death. Or does it on the contrary embody dispersed memory and thus life in one perfect homogeneous whole? Perhaps we do not have to measure and provide exact proof of everything. Maybe it is enough to desire, believe and at least aspire to understand more, to not be afraid to open ourselves to intuition and the fact that we are also part of interwoven memory and can thus be somehow incorporated in all things. Moreover, as time passes we will all become what we “dread”, no matter what.

One of the most inspiring pieces and text I’ve seen and read until now.

Mad men just keeps getting better. I do not know exactly how they manage to write brilliant episodes like the last two, after 5 seasons, but they do it.

Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood

I ain’t am happy, I’m feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I’m useless, but not for long
The future is coming on

From Love and Death (1975)

This whole scene is amazing, but especially:

To love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering, one must not love.
But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer.
Not to love is to suffer.
To suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be unhappy one must love,
or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness…
I hope you’re getting this down.
