Andrew Bird - Plasticities (live @ Theatro Circo, Braga, 2009)

A year ago I was experience this magical show. Plasticities was one of the highlights of the show: suddently you didn’t know from where all that heavenly, flowing sound was coming from. And there was only this man alone in the middle of the stage.

I was sitting opposite to the guy who was taping this video. It was the first show I went with the intention to actually listen to the music. It was also the first and last show I attended alone. But, most importantly, It was the first time I battled my shyness and secrecy and could actually do something I like without caring with what others would think. Since then I’ve been much more loose and honest with what I like and think, and it only resulted in getting more self-confident and happy (yeah, it took me 20 years to get to that point. I’m that lame). Now you know why Andrew Bird and his music is so special to me.

After the show, which lasted for about two hours and ended 10 minutes after midnight, I went all cinderella, running through the stairs and roads, so that I could go sing Happy Birthday to my best friend. So the night ended with cake, champagne and friends. Blissfull hours those were.
